The London Lakers are pleased to announce the acquisition of defenseman Tyson Liverance from the Cambridge Bears.

Liverance, a 1997 born product of Burford, Ontario, is entering his second season in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL).

“We’re excited to have this young talent on our blueline,” said London Lakers head coach Jeff Zehr. “He put up good numbers as a young player in this league last year, and will have a tremendous opportunity to develop, produce, and win a championship in London.”

Liverance scored 16 points in 23 games last year for the Junior A Cambridge Bears.

“Tyson is a player we expect to have an even bigger season, and we targeted him because of that potential, and the experience he brings to our already strong blueline,” said Lakers’ Director of Player Personnel and Scouting Ian Kennedy.

The London Lakers will host their main camp August 15-16 at London Sports Park, where the team’s signed players will join a group of players contending for roster positions.
