The London Lakers are pleased to announce the acquisition and signing of forward Daiken Salsman, who led the Junior A Cambridge Bears in scoring last season.

Salsman born forward from Kitchener, Ontario, is entering his second season in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League (GMHL), and is a product of the Kitchener Rangers ‘AAA’ program.

Salsman led the Cambridge Bears in scoring last season with 35 goals and 50 points in 39 regular season games, and scored 3 points in 2 postseason contests.

“Anytime you can add a GMHL veteran who scored 35 goals, you can’t be anything but thrilled,” said London Lakers head coach Jeff Zehr. We expect Daiken to light the lamp even more this year with the talent we have coming to the Lakers.”

“Daiken was a priority for us because of the offensive talent, and leadership he brings to our franchise,” said Director of Player Personnel Ian Kennedy of Salsman, who was an assistant captain with the Bears last season.

“When the regular season opens, we expect Daiken to be part of a dynamic London Lakers offense,” Kennedy added.

Salsman will be in attendance August 15-16 when the London Lakers will host their main camp at London Sports Park, where the team’s signed players will join a group of players contending for roster positions.
