The London Lakers are pleased to announce the signing of forward Chris Rodo.
Rodo a 1997 born forward from Colleyville, Texas, joins the London Lakers for his rookie Junior campaign.
Last season, Rodo captained his Grapevine Colleyville High School team, finishing third in Texas AT&T Metroplex High School Hockey League scoring with 24 goals and 18 assists for 42 points in only 16 games.
“We expect Chris to be one of the top prospects in our program this season,” says London Lakers Director of Player Personnel and Scouting Ian Kennedy. “We value the leadership qualities, and the playmaking potential Chris brings to our team.”
Rodo was MVP of his Grapevine Colleyville team last year, and was named to Team Texas. A season prior, he helped his high school team win the Texas State Championship.
“Chris knows what it takes to win, and we value that in London,” added Kennedy.
Rodo also played for the Texas Junior Brahmas U18 team last season where he was an assistant captain, and has suited up for the Dallas Penguins, winning a State championship, and Texas Tornados in the past.
While playing for the Lakers this Fall, Rodo will be attending Western University in London, Ontario, where he will study Environmental Science.
