The London Lakers have extended their winning streak to four games after trouncing the Brantford Steelfighters 12-2 Friday night at London Sports Park.
Newcomer Dan Chapman scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in the game. The 1994 born forward spent last season with the Strathroy Rockets, and was making his London Lakers debut.
Jared Binguis, who joined the Lakers after leaving the NOJHL’s French River Rapids also had a goal and an assist in his London Lakers debut.
Defenseman Chris Hrabec played set up man, assisting on 5 goals in the game.
Noah Carty and Tyson Liverance also scored two goals each in the game.
Other London Lakers goal scorers were Luke McCutcheon, Niko French, Chris Rodo, Garrett Hodgson, and Jordan Babb.
Chris Armstrong made his GMHL debut in net stopping 16 shots. The Lakers dominated the entire game peppering the Brantford netminders with 63 shots.
London’s winning streak started last weekend when the team won three games in three nights against the North York Renegades, Toronto Attack, and Niagara Whalers.
London is back in action next Friday against the first place Kingsville Kings, who currently are undefeated with an 11-0 record.
Puck drop is at 7:30pm at the London Sports Park. Admission is $8 for adults, and $5 for seniors and students.
