London Lakers To Face Attack In Round One

London-Lakers-vs-Toronto-AttackThe London Lakers will need to hold off an Attack in round one of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League playoffs as the Lakers will take on the Toronto Attack.

Toronto finished 2nd in the GMHL’s South Division, while London finished with a 19-22-1 record to finish 7th.

“We had our ups and downs this season, but we’re coming into the playoffs with our boys playing well, playing as a group, and believing in themselves,” said Director of Player Personnel Ian Kennedy.

The Lakers closed out the season with a pair of come from behind wins, defeating the Kingsville Kings 5-4, and the Komoka Dragons 6-5 to close out the season.

In their regular season series, the Toronto Attack and London Lakers split a pair of games, with London winning a 5-4 contest, and Toronto winning a 3-0 decision.

They will open their best-of-five series in Toronto next week.
