Thank You From The London Lakers

Dear Players, Fans, Parents, Billets, and Sponsors,

Our inaugural season of the London Lakers Junior A hockey team has come to a close. With the offseason ahead, we wanted to take a moment to wish our fans, players, parents, billets, sponsors, and other supporters, a sincere “thank you.”

We had our ups and downs this season. Hot streaks and cold. As an organization, we learned a lot, and we promise that the 2016-2017 season will be one to remember. With the support you have given us this year, we now have a foundation for the future.

The Lakers are proud to represent the City of London. We were proud of our players, who fought through adversity, who improved, and who chased their dreams until the final whistle. We’re proud of the parents and fans who came to games, supported our team, and kept cheering. We’re proud of our sponsors, companies such as Fastfrate, Benders Yoga, Fitness Forum, Twist, World Class Carpets, and the Hilton London. Your generous support kept our players going, equipped, and on the ice.

To our billets, who became second parents, the first line of encouragement, and the guardians of our players, thank you.

To our arena, London Sports Park, the wonderful staff made game day a breeze, and gave us a space to call our own, thank you.

And to the staff and volunteers, who ran the score clock, sold tickets, coached, took photographs, video taped, and kept our players healthy, thank you.

Over the last 10 months, the London Lakers have become a family, and without each of you, the success of our first season would not have happened.

As for next year, we promise to be better. We promise to improve both on and off the ice, and we promise to become the pride of the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League, and of London, Ontario.

Thank you again for your support in year one, and we can’t wait to see everyone back at the London Sports Park, cheering on your London Lakers, next season, and for years to come.

Sincerely,

The London Lakers
